Memory Verse:
Please encourage your child to work daily in hiding God's Word in their heart. There will be a test each Thursday. We will be having the following verse again because it fits perfectly with our skit. I'm expecting everyone to do well on this week's test!
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” John 11: 25-26
We will be practicing for our skit over the next two weeks. Our performance will be during chapel on March 5. Chapel time is from 10:30-11:00 if you would like to come.
Math
My class is made up of a variety of different math classes, therefore please check your child's planner to know what homework they might have.
Language Arts
Your child should be reading a book of their choice at least 20 mins each night. They should write down the title of the book they read, the pages they read, and when completed, ask you to sign in their planner that they completed the reading for the night.
Your child will be receiving their Spelling words each Thursday so that they have time to practice over the weekend. Tests will be the following Thursday.
3rd Grade Spelling List
4th Grade Spelling List
Science
We are finishing up with Chapter 6, Light and Sound. The students are busy applying what they have learned to the design of a tin can telephone.
Key Ideas:
Light and sound travel as waves.
Light is a type of electromagnetic radiation that does not require a medium.
Sound is not electromagnetic radiation and does require a material medium to travel through.
Light and sound interact with matter in specific ways.
Light and sound can be used for communication.
History
We are finishing Chapter 5, All That Glitters. Test next Wednesday or Thursday!
Chapter Focus:
The Gilded Age was a time of growth and needed reform in many areas of American culture.
